In this workshop, participants will explore what it means in practice to be a Coherence therapist — that is, to embody the stance and mode of working that the principles of this approach call for.

In our training and supervision work, we have observed that practitioners learning Coherence Therapy often encounter similar challenges. Some of these stem from long-standing professional habits — such as the need to “know,” to interpret, or to counteract symptoms — while others arise from the difficulty of implementing a new way of working: staying aligned with the
assumption of symptom coherence, showing empathy for coherence itself, being both directive and deeply attuned, engaging in sustained experiential work, and maintaining a stance of curiosity and not-knowing, while consciously navigating with the map of memory reconsolidation.
These new challenges often touch our own emotional schemas, sometimes making it hard to fully step into this new, more demanding — yet often more effective — way of working.
Participants will explore these scenarios and take another step toward trusting themselves as Coherence therapists and realizing the full potential of this approach.
The didactic part of the workshop will be enriched with exercises and analysis of Coherence Therapy session videos.
In the practical part, the facilitators will conduct two live demonstration sessions, small-group practice sessions, and large-group discussions to address participants’ questions and challenges related to these themes.
